SHe Expedition - Part 1

I went on a humanitarian mission with 44 others to Kinango, Kenya. There are not words sufficient to explain this amazing life changing experience. The land and people are beautiful. I loved the happiness of the people. Below is part one of the photos.

We started in Mombasa (on the Indian Ocean), where we met up with the entire group and bought our skirts for the mission. Mis-communication between the in-country director and headquarters resulted in us not knowing that the women had to wear skirts in the village. That led to an interesting shopping experience in the crazy Mombasa marketplace.

Working conditions in the city.

This bell is a reminder of the slave trading that happened in Kenya.

Our project - business development clinic, medical/dental clinic, teaching clinic and construction project. After visiting the hospital I am thankful that I was not a patient there.
